Past and current research and development projects include:

• The assesment of diffusive gradients in thin films to measure biologically-available metals in natural waters and effluents;
• Pit Lake Research, understanding and evaluating passive treament of pit lake water; and,
• Investigating trace metal association with major mineral phases in mine related-sludge through ultra-high resolution mineralogical characterization using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) in conjuction with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
