Lorax Environmental prides itself on utilizing innovative and cutting edge techniques to develop working procedures for our clients. In order to accomplish this, Lorax works to research and develop equipment, techniques, and software to further understand processes in a given system.
Past and current research and development projects include:
- The assesment of diffusive gradients in thin films
to measure biologically-available metals in natural waters and effluents;
- Pit Lake Research, understanding and evaluating passive treament of pit lake water; and,
- Investigating trace metal association with major mineral phases in mine related-sludge through ultra-high resolution mineralogical characterization using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) in conjuction with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
